Coprophagia is a condition whereby puppies and dogs consume their own stool. It is a common habit in some dogs which can be distressing for the pet owner and unhygienic for the pet.

VetIQ® Stool Repel tablets have been specially formulated to help deter this behaviour by making the dogs own stool unpalatable to eat. Stool Repel contains Capsicum Oleoresin, a lachrymatory agent, which deters a puppy or dog from eating its own stool by causing a mild irritation to the eyes and a mild burning sensation if the stool is eaten. It also contains the enzyme, Alpha-Amylase which breaks down starches, improving the animal’s digestive performance.

Stool Repel functions within the intestine by making your dog’s stool less tasty, therefore, it will not deter dogs from eating other dogs stools.

100% satisfied

I used this for a retired racing greyhound who has eaten her own and any other dropping she found for years. We have tried Marmite, yeast tablets, pineapple and a whole legion of other sovereign remedies that were guaranteed to succeed. The vet also suggested that a low grade infection in the bowel may be causing it so she was on a long course of antibiotics which of course didn't make any difference. I tried VETIQ Stool Repel as a last resort and I'll be quite honest and say that I really didn't expect it to work, after all, nothing else had. Within a week she had completely stopped. We have all been astonished by the success of these tablets. There is nothing more to say, they have been 100% successful.

I tried all the usual tricks to stop my GSD from this habit and nothing worked. It had worked with others but not this time until I bought VETIQ Stool Repel. I found by trial and error that the advised dosage was insufficient but a 25% increase worked. 3 tabs were recommended for my dog’s weight but it didn't work till I used 4 tabs. Definitely a good product.
